A24 is delivering another alternative romcom following the much talked about Materialists last year. This time we’re heading towards the altar with Robert Pattinson and Zendaya in The Drama, a romantic black comedy from Norwegian director Kristoffer Borgli.
Releasing on 3rd April, there’s not long to go until we witness the nuptials of Emma and Charlie – or will we? Here’s everything you need to know about The Drama.
What is The Drama about?
Bookstore clerk Emma (Zendaya) and Brit Charlie, a museum director from London, are engaged to be married. Days before their wedding, with preparations in full swing, they have a dinner party with their friends, married couple Mike and Rachel. What starts off as a silly game in which each person must share the worst thing they’ve ever done, one makes an admission that might throw their upcoming vows into the air.

What is the UK release date of The Drama?
Here comes the bride… No long delay between US and UK releases this time around, The Drama will be released globally on 3rd April. That means the UK will be able to watch The Drama alongside their pals across the Atlantic on the same day, with tickets on sale now.
2026 is the year of Zendaya and Robert Pattinson
Having never done a film together before, The Drama is the first film both Robert Pattinson and Zendaya will star in, though The Drama certainly sees them sharing the most scenes. Both stars will also appear in both Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey in July and Dune: Part 3 at the end of the year.
