Noah Jupe has carved out a brilliant career for himself, taking on wildly different roles in wildly different worlds. From the nerve-jangling horror of A Quiet Place to the literary medieval drama Hamnet, he's shown serious range and become one of the most exciting young actors around. He’s currently in The Death of Robin Hood alongside Hugh Jackman (no stranger to the MCU himself). Now, Jupe is also set to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe, having been cast in the much-anticipated Avengers: Secret Wars, arriving in 2027.
We don't yet know who Jupe is playing, and Marvel is keeping story details tightly under wraps too. What we do know is that Secret Wars is the grand finale of the Multiverse Saga, following directly on from the events of Avengers: Doomsday. If the comic books are any indication, it could be the crossover to end all crossovers, bringing together heroes and villains from across multiple Marvel worlds for what may be the biggest superhero movie ever made.
What is Avengers: Secret Wars about?
Marvel hasn't revealed the plot just yet, but Secret Wars is one of the most famous storylines in comic book history. Both the 1984 and 2015 comic runs centred on Battleworld, a place where heroes and villains from different realities found themselves thrown together.
If that's the direction the MCU takes, Cineworlders could be in for a superhero spectacle on a scale we've never seen before.
How does it connect to Avengers: Doomsday?
Secret Wars follows directly on from Avengers: Doomsday, which lands in Cineworld on 18 December.
The film sees the Avengers, Fantastic Four, Thunderbolts and other heroes joining forces against Robert Downey Jr.'s Doctor Doom. With the two movies so closely linked, expect Doomsday to lay the groundwork for whatever reality-bending chaos unfolds in Secret Wars.

Of course, plenty of actors linked to Avengers: Doomsday are widely expected to appear too, but Marvel hasn't confirmed anything just yet.
Who could Noah Jupe be playing?
That's the million-dollar question.
Marvel hasn't shared any details about Jupe's character, sparking plenty of speculation among fans. Could he be a brand-new hero? A younger version of an existing character? Or someone completely unexpected?
For now, Marvel isn't giving anything away.
Why fans are already excited
Apart from the casting gathering pace, very little has been revealed about Secret Wars. Rumour has it the movie could be even bigger than Doomsday, which is already saying something.
It's also led fans to wonder whether we'll see the return of characters such as Tom Holland's Spider-Man and Benedict Cumberbatch's Doctor Strange. Nothing has been confirmed, but when you're dealing with a multiverse story, almost anything feels possible.
The fact that Marvel has managed to keep so much of the film secret is a story in itself.
The Russo brothers are back
Another reason to get excited? Joe and Anthony Russo are returning to direct.
The brothers previously delivered Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, and many assumed their Marvel journey had ended with the latter. Their return suggests Secret Wars is every bit as massive as fans are hoping.
Robert Downey Jr.'s surprise return
Few MCU announcements have created as much buzz as Robert Downey Jr.'s return to Marvel.
The twist? He's not coming back as Iron Man.
Instead, he'll be playing Doctor Doom, one of Marvel's greatest villains. Some fans have even speculated that Doom could reshape reality itself, much like he does in the comic book storyline.
When is Avengers: Secret Wars released?
Avengers: Secret Wars is currently scheduled for release on 17 December 2027.
That means it will arrive eight years after Avengers: Endgame, making it the longest we've ever waited for another Avengers movie. Judging by the growing hype around the film, though, it could be well worth the wait.
