What is Avengers: Endgame Encore?
Avengers: Endgame Encore is an opportunity to see the grossly successful 2019 film back on the big screen as the remaining Avengers attempt to reverse the damage done by Thanos in Infinity War, where he wiped out half the universe and its population. Not simply a re-release ahead of Avengers: Doomsday, it includes extra content that’s never been seen before.
How different is Avengers: Endgame Encore from the original cut?
Avengers: Endgame Encore will be a run time of three hours and five minutes, making it the longest Marvel film ever released. For the keen eye, that’s just 4 minutes more than the original cut. However, the Russo brothers have weighed in, and those 4 minutes sound to be pretty crucial in the set up for Doomsday.
Do I have to watch Avengers: Endgame Encore before Avengers: Doomsday?
Director of both Avengers instalments, Joe Russo has recently said in an interview with Fandango that the extra content featured exclusively in Avengers: Endgame Encore is essential viewing for all-important context ahead of the events of Avengers: Doomsday. He said:
“[Avengers: Endgame Encore] is going to connect the story of the two movies. There’s a natural progression from Endgame into Doomsday, which is also inclusive of all the other stories that have been playing out. But I think it’s important to see Endgame again in theaters for two reasons: One, you’re going to have a lot of fun … and two, I think it’s required viewing for following the story in Doomsday.”
His co-director and brother, Anthony Russo, added, “If you saw Endgame when it was originally released, you couldn’t see this coming.”
When is Avengers: Endgame Encore being released?
Avengers: Endgame Encore is arriving at Cineworld on 25th September ahead of Doomsday’s release on the 18th December.
Will Avengers: Endgame Encore be released in INFINITY VISION?
Avengers: Endgame Encore will be the first film released by Disney in Infinity Vision, a certification for cinema screens that meet Premium Large Format specifications.
