Upcoming family movies coming to Cineworld in 2026

There's nothing like a cinema outing to see the latest film favourite one afternoon or evening with the whole family. It brings everyone together, sparks conversations that last for days, and gives you plenty of time for adopting catchphrases and singing favourite songs. From gran and gramps to babes in arms, there’s loads to look forward to in 2026.

And what’s more, you can nab yourselves a Cineworld Family Ticket too – where adults pay kids’ prices (max age for a child is 14; use the ticket for two adults and two kids or one adult and three kids).

We’ve got links to trailers below, so go ahead and see what treats you and the fam can look forward to next year!

Hoppers (6th March)

The latest treat from Disney Pixar asks a question animal lovers have wondered for ages: wouldn’t it be great to see inside the animal kingdom’s mind? Imagine being able to communicate with creatures great and small – even a worm. That’s the premise behind Disney Pixar’s latest movie, which brings the natural world alive for the whole family.

Project Hail Mary (20th March)

Much anticipated by fans who are already hailing the film trailer as perfect, Project Hail Mary has a lot to live up to. Ryan Gosling stars as a hapless teacher-turned-molecular biologist tasked with saving the world, alongside friendly robot aliens and a truly awesome mission. The whole family’s going to be rooted to their seats.

The Super Mario Galaxy Movie (3rd April)

If you’ve got a Super Mario family league in your house, this film’s for you. Nintendo and Universal Pictures have joined forces for this follow-up to the successful The Super Mario Bros. Movie (2023), delivering slick animation, great characters, and pure crowd-pleasing fun.

The Mandalorian and Grogu (22nd May)

Set five years after Return of the Jedi and before The Force Awakens, this film follows Mandalorian Din Djarin and his apprentice Grogu on new adventures. With no live-action Star Wars film in seven years, fans won’t want to miss this one.

Toy Story 5 (19th June)

Uh-oh. What do the toys do when they’re in danger of being nudged out of Bonnie’s orbit by a new tablet, Lilypad? It’s the ultimate modern-era conflict – screens versus toys – with nostalgic appeal for adults and a timely lesson for kids, all wrapped up in the highest-grossing animated franchise of all time.

Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow (26th June)

Superman’s more jaded cousin likes to party when she’s not plotting revenge and solving murders. This gritty superhero story proves Supergirl isn’t just notable because of her famous cousin – she has her own stories and scars to reckon with.

Minions 3 (1st July)

We saw Minions take on a new form in Despicable Me 4 – mega minions with laser eyes, super strength, speed, flight, and stretchiness too. Packed with action and comedy, anyone who finds the Minions hilariously funny in their normal forms will be rolling in the cinema aisles at this one. This holiday’s go-to for belly laughs.

Moana live action (10th July)

Kids will be watching the live-action remake of Moana in round-eyed wonder as they see their favourite characters come to life. Lush scenery and sweeping ocean vistas pull them deeper into the world, while fresh new takes on the beloved songs mean they’ll still be able to sing along. Pure Disney magic, reimagined.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day (31st July)

This is Tom Holland’s fourth standalone film as the web-slinger, with Peter Parker attempting to start over while facing off against Mister Negative and Menace. He’s single, broke, and has dropped down the league tables of superheroes – but Spidey fans can expect high action with heart and humour. Expect a great family film that delivers on all fronts.

PawPatrol: The Dino Movie (14th August)

Young kids love pups, kids love dinos – put the two together and you’ve got an exciting adventure in this fourth outing for the 3–6 year age group. They’re going to love this movie and treating them to a cinema outing will make it one of the highlights of their Christmas. Perfect for the little ones.

The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender (9th October)

We love the premise of this elements-based movie, set in a world split into the Earth Kingdom, Water Tribe, Fire Nation, and Air Nomads. The question at its heart: which airbender can master all four elements and unite the nations, not just their own? Epic storytelling for the whole family.

The Cat in the Hat (6th November)

Loved by young families in book form the world over, we’re hopping with excitement about The Cat in the Hat animation. This madcap caper promises loveable lunacy delivered by the one and only cat in the hat. Pure Dr. Seuss magic on the big screen.

The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping (20th November)

Anyone who devoured The Hunger Games books and films will be queuing up for early tickets to this prequel, set 24 years before the first film and Katniss’ chapter. Expect the same intense, dystopian world-building that made the series a phenomenon. A must-see for fans.

Jumanji 3 (11th December)

Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Kevin Hart, and Karen Gillan return for the final Jumanji film. Even if your family is all grown up, put the call out on WhatsApp and get yourselves down to Cineworld for a nostalgic trip back into this beloved world. One last adventure together.

Avengers: Doomsday (18th December)

One of the most hotly anticipated releases of 2026, Avengers: Doomsday brings together the Avengers, Wakandans, Fantastic Four, New Avengers, and X-Men to fight Doctor Doom. This is phase six of the multiverse saga, and it promises to be epic. Marvel fans won’t want to miss this incredible team-up.
