Upcoming Disney movies from Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar, Marvel, and beyond

Disney’s movie line-up over the next few years is looking seriously stacked. From long-awaited returns for Ice Age and Frozen to huge Marvel team-ups, galaxy-spanning Star Wars adventures and brand-new animated originals, there’s no shortage of big-screen magic heading our way.

We’ve rounded up all the Disney films currently on the release calendar, from 2026’s biggest releases to the titles already locked in for 2027, 2028 and beyond. We’ve even included a few projects still in development (though we’re trying very hard not to get too excited about those just yet).

Catch every single movie with an Unlimited membership, costing the equivalent of two cinema tickets a month on average.

Disney movies coming out in 2026

Toy Story 5 (screening now)

You thought you'd seen the last of these toys – you were wrong! Jessie and the gang are back and about to face their biggest challenge yet while Woody is seemingly off helping abandoned toys find their owners. They thought they were happy to be back in Bonnie's bedroom, but it turns out they've got bigger fish to fry when the Lilypad enters the chat – a frog-like tablet device that is about to steal all Bonnie's attention.

Moana live action (screening now)

Disney has sprinkled its live action magic on a bunch of classic Disney animations. For the first time, it'll be using some of that pixie dust on a more recent release – 2016's Moana. With Dwayne Johnson returning as the real life Maui, Moana takes to the high seas in order to settle an adventurous heart that calls out to the sea, and to save her home of Motunui.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day (screening now)

In the fourth film starring Tom Holland, we see where Peter and his persona as Spider-Man, pitches up following on from the end of No Way Home.

Hexed (27th November)

We’ve had heaps of sequels from Disney of late, so it’s with real excitement that we await Hexed, an animation. We’re looking forward to meeting Billie Doe, a bored teenager living in suburbia who discovers she has magic powers. She finds her way to Hexe, a world of witches where she tries to unearth family connections, alongside her cautious mother, Alice. Hailee Steinfeld is the voice of Billie, and the rest of the stellar cast comprises Rashida Jones (as Alice), Jodie Foster, Walton Goggins, Tracy Ullman and Stephen Fry.

Avengers: Doomsday (18th December)

Avengers: Doomsday is set to be a huge movie with an even bigger cast, including the Fantastic Four family, X-Men OGs, the Black Panther clan, and beyond.

2026 is stacked for new releases out of the Disney conglomerate – and there are tons more in the pipeline in the years beyond Walt Disney Studios and its subsidiaries, too.

Disney movies coming out in 2027

Ice Age: Boiling Point (5th February 2027)

Think all the way back to 2016 and Ice Age: Collision Course because Boiling Point is the sequel to that particular woolly mammoth instalment. The first in the Ice Age franchise not to be produced by Blue Sky Studios, the chilly crew have slid on over to 20th Century Animation, taking the regular voice cast with them.

Gatto (5th March 2027)

The upcoming 2D animation, with its ‘living painting’ style from Pixar, is getting fans excited. All ready to love Nero, the black cat slinking around Venice trying to avoid the mob boss cat Rocco and wondering what on earth life’s all about. Voice-acted by Mark Ruffalo as Nero, Laurence Fishburne as Rocco.

Star Wars: Starfighter (28th May 2027)

The new standalone Star Wars sees Ryan Gosling take the lead in a story that doesn’t depend on what’s gone ahead or before. Director of Deadpool and Wolverine, Shawn Levy directs and, kinda refreshingly for a 50-year-old franchise, has no plans for a sequel.

The Bluey Movie (6th August 2027)

With the creator of the beloved TV series at the helm, this big-screen outing for Chilli Heeler and Bandit Heeler should stay true to the authenticity of the small screen show, much loved by children and adults alike. A delightful comedy, we know very little about the story, only that there’s a big surprise in store for Bluey!

The New Simpsons Movie (3rd September 2027)

A scene of Homer chasing a baseball through Springfield, from a work-in-progress sneak peek, is giving Simpsons fans much to be excited about. The release date has already moved to later in the summer, but only by a couple of months, giving us just a little longer to wait for Marge, Homer and co.

Frozen 3 (24th November 2027)

With a winter wedding on the cards for Anna, a romantic storyline of sorts for Olaf, that’s the loveliness we can expect from Frozen 3. But there are also dangers, in the shape of a dangerous new snowy dimension in which we glimpsed a shady new character.

Avengers: Secret Wars (17th December 2027)

A follow-on from Avengers: Doomsday, we can expect to see Robert Downey Jr as Doctor Doom, as well as heroes and characters from other universes in one big crossover. The signs are that this will be the conclusion of the multiverse saga.

Disney movies in development

Promising plenty of fun-filled family movies, obviously we hope these movies see the light of day because we know they're going to be full of heartfelt moments, blockbuster worthy fight sequences, and excellent original songs here and there, too.
