Book and watch these must-see May Bank Holiday movies at Cineworld

May might be the best month. Why? Because there are two Bank Holiday weekends sandwiching the month. This coming weekend from May 24-26th gives you that extra day off – and Cineworld is here to offer some inspiration for entertaining the whole family.

What better way to kill a few hours than to head to the cinema to watch some great movies this bank holiday, including the magic of a Disney live action, one of the biggest action blockbusters of the year with stunts that’ll truly stun. There’s also something a bit more horrifying for the older kids, too. And, don't forget, if you're a group of four including at least one adult, you can get a Family Ticket and pay kid prices.

We’ve put together a list of the top movies showing at a Cineworld near you this bank holiday weekend.

Lilo & Stitch

Disney has sprinkled its live action fairydust on the 2002 animated classic Lilo and Stitch, which sees fugitive alien Experiment 626 built for destruction crash land in Hawaii, only to be mistaken for a dog and adopted by a lonely girl, Lilo. The film stars Maia Kealoha as Lilo, Chris Sanders as the voice of Stitch, Sydney Elizabeth Agudong as Nani, as well as Zach Galifianakis, Billy Magnussen, and Hannah Waddingham. Book now and you can watch Lilo & Stitch in a number of formats including 4DX.

Final Destination Bloodlines

Final Destination Bloodlines about to break its own box office record and sees the popular horror franchise return to where it all began. Going back to the 60s and following a hereditary line to the present, Stefanie must track down the only person able to break the cycle and prevent the untimely and violent death of her whole family. This one is definitely for the older kids. Keep in mind it's a 15, so you won't be able to benefit from Cineworld's Family Ticket on this one.

Sinners

Another for the older kids, this is one of the most talked-about movies of the year so far, Sinners reunites director Ryan Coogler (Creed, Black Panther) with actor Michael B. Jordan for a supernatural horror that’s been almost universally acclaimed by critics. Set in the Deep South during the 1930s, it centres around two brothers (both played by Jordan) who return to their hometown to escape their troubles, only to discover a much greater evil waiting for them when they get there. Described as “a deliciously vicious vampire hit”, Sinners is an absolute must-see for fans of the genre.
