The April film slate has got a bit of everything, from family films to upcoming horror flicks. There’s also the Michael Jackson biopic as well as a return to the Mushroom Kingdom – well, sort of.

The Super Mario Galaxy Movie (1st April)
Mario and Luigi are back for another video game adaptation, and they've taken Bowser as prisoner – shrunken down and dwelling in his own miniature castle. Following on from 2023’s The Super Mario Bros. Movie, this new instalment takes the brothers, alongside Princess Peach and Yoshi, away from the Mushroom Kingdom and into the galaxies as they tackle more foes, including Boswer’s son, Boser Jr.

The Drama (3rd April)
Zendaya and Robert Pattinson star as a couple about to enter holy matrimony, only for a rogue admission to shake up every preconceived idea they had of each other. As the countdown to the big day ticks along, Emma and Charlie attempt to carry on like normal while wrestling with this revelation.
Fuze (3rd April)
Let’s shake things up with a gritty British crime thriller that’ll have you on the edge of your seat. Promising plenty of male talent, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Theo James, and Sam Worthington all star in Fuze. Set in London, an unexploded WW2 bomb sends a construction site into chaos.
You, Me & Tuscany (10th April)
Have you been missing the Duke of Hastings? Well, Regé-Jean Page is back in a romantic role alongside live action The Little Mermaid’s Halle Bailey. When Anna impulsively books flights to Tuscany to stay in a house she hasn’t strictly been invited to. There she meets the owner’s cousin, Michael, and, well, you can guess what’s set to happen next…
California Schemin' (10th April)
In James McAvoy’s directorial debut, California Schemin’ tells the true story of Scottish faux-American rap duo Silibil N’Brains who pretended to be American in order to make it to the big time. And make it they did, going on to tour with Eminem.

Lee Cronin’s The Mummy (17th April)
Ready for some upcoming horror? Lee Cronin’s The Mummy will send a shiver down your spine as a young girl of a journalist goes missing in the desert, only to turn up eight years later. But things are not all that they seem and things quickly transcend into a nightmare.
Glenorthan (17th April)
Starring Alan Cumming and Brian Cox, two brothers decide to come back together and make amends in their home country of Scotland.
Michael (24th April)
The long-awaited biopic of the King of Pop is coming, and our “Thriller” arms are ready. With the late popstars own nephew, Jaafar Jackson, playing the titular role, Michael will chronicle his rise to fame in the Jackson 5 and his early solo career.
