Finding Emily (22nd May)
Is there anything better than a swooney, British romantic comedy? Finding Emily promises a sweet story in which a musician gets the wrong number from his dream girl, and is desperate to find her. So he teams up with a psychology student in order to find his Emily. Will he find her, or was a potential spark hidden elsewhere all along?
One Night Only (28th August)
If you loved him in last year’s Eternity, you’ll be thrilled to hear Callum Turner is starring in another romantic comedy – and it’s another high concept storyline. Pre-marital sex is only legal one day of the year, and that’s when Allie and Owen meet. But while sex is easy, finding love is hard. Could the two find it in each other? From the writers of Anyone But You and Easy A.
Sense & Sensibility (25th November)
The story of the Dashwood sisters and their attempt to navigate the societal perils of class-driven Britain in the 19th century is a true classic, and while we’ve had some wonderful adaptations in the past, we reckon that enough time has gone by that we’re overdue a chance to experience this story once more on the big screen.
The Sense & Sensibility trailer is currently showing in cinemas and will hopefully land online soon. With Daisy Ridley, Esmé Creed-Miles and George MacKay cast, we’re certain that it’s going to be an incredible time. With each new adaptation there’s always a chance to add something distinct, perhaps a different interpretation of certain scenes that helps to stamp a unique mark on the film, and if you haven’t experienced Sense & Sensibility in any form thus far then you’re in for a treat when this version drops.
