André Rieu is no stranger to plucking his strings for an Event Cinema screening at Cineworld, and he’s returning once again this year for a beautiful celebration from his home in Maastricht this summer.

Speaking to Cineworld, André Rieu let us in on what we can expect from his Viva Maastricht! Summer concert. Read on to see what he had to say, or watch the full interview below.
To get a taste of what to expect from the set list, André shared the process of pulling it together. “That was easy, because I wanted to put Maastricht on the map. So there are a lot of pieces and also words from my text that brings you to Maastricht.”
Of course, as with all André’s concerts, we can expect to be treated to some incredible soloists and special guests. While he didn’t let slip who these might be, he did share the year-long process with his wife Marjorie to make these decisions. And the word for the final result: “special”!
While we’d all love to be in the room for this extra special 20th Anniversary concert, André Rieu reassured us that attending an Event Cinema screening doesn’t lose out on the incredible experience of André Rieu’s classical music concerts.
“There is no big difference. We, you see really at the cinema now, what you see on tour when you would come to a concert. The same sensations, the same music, the same solos. And that is what people like so much when they go to the cinema, wherever in the world they say, ‘Ah! That’s the same orchestra. It’s really a dream with his orchestra,’ that makes it very near.”
He promised that attending a Cineworld screening of André Rieu’s 2026 Summer Concert: Viva Maastricht! Will leave you “[going] home on a cloud, and it will take you two weeks to come down to Earth.”
