A whole new dimension of Billie Eilish
The Hit Me Hard And Soft The Tour in 3D is not just a concert film. Through footage and interviews, we get to see another dimension of the musician herself. We get to see her at work, as she creates the film with co-director Cameron. We’re privy to some post-show after-care as enjoyed by Billie and the crew. And there are some truly gorgeous and authentic moments between the musician and her legions of fans.
It’s all about the fans
In the film, Billie tells us her goal is to be the kind of performer she’d want to be a fan of herself. She loves to tour because it means she gets to ‘hang out’ with the fans. And they are the reason this film exists. Eilish gives new depth to the stadium gig experience by bringing herself even closer to the audience, her fans – both in the stadium and in the cinema. Choreography comes first
A condition of the shows being filmed was that cameras wouldn’t get in the way of the choreography, interrupt the flow of the show or appear on stage. The live performance was preserved for the fans in the stadium, so special 3D long lenses were used to capture the performances.
