Like a proud parent sharing first photos of a new addition to the family, John Krasinski was excited to share images of scripts for A Quiet Place Part III. Each clearly showing the actors’ names and creating an early, infectious buzz we are so here for.
In the big reveal, it’s like Krasinski is foreshadowing and tension-building the very narrative of his trilogy finale. The heart of A Quiet Place, and true survivor Emily Blunt is returning. So too is Cillian Murphy, whose character upped the intensity and made the second film insanely gripping. Since Oppenheimer, Murphy’s star power is rising, and we can’t get enough of him. What’s he going to bring to the third film? We’re tense just thinking about it.
And then there’s a new addition to the A Quiet Place talent, Jack O’Connell, and we can’t think of a better choice. Cast around for actors who can bring heft to emotionally intense roles and that’s O’Connell. The fact that he’s just come from Sinners, which won four Oscars, just made him hotter.
What is the A Quiet Place series about?
The premise of A Quiet Place is that the world is overrun with aliens who hunt their human prey through sound. The Abbott family survive by trying to make no sound at all. In the second film the family go in search of other survivors and realise they can use an audio signal to defeat the deadly creatures.
With that cast list news getting us all excited for A Quiet Place Part III, is there any news on the plot?
Nope, it’s under wraps of course, but Jack O’Connell’s casting alone – fresh from horror smash Sinners and 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple – has us wondering whether Krasinski will give us a final film that’s even bigger and darker. Here’s hoping.

We’re already excited about the starry casting crossover from Oppenheimer to A Quiet Place: Part Three
A Quiet Place Part II alumni Cillian Murphy and Emily Blunt starred in Oppenheimer together in 2023. And the professional trust and ease they built up from working together in A Quiet Place Part II in 2020 was plain to see in Oppenheimer. Blunt’s character had a screen time of just 17 minutes yet her performance so powerful it earned her an Oscar nomination. We can’t wait to see more of their work together in the finale of A Quiet Place.
Jason Clarke, who played the counsel who grills Murphy’s Oppenheimer with incredible intensity and aggression is in A Quiet Place Part III and we’re looking forward to seeing the role Clarke gets to play, and how he interacts with Murphy’s character.
What is the release date?
Production for A Quiet Place Part III has just begun, in spring 2026 ahead of a release date currently scheduled for 30th July 2027.
