The first film under Eli Roth’s new Horror Section label, Ice Cream Man is his latest slasher, and is an original story written by Roth and Noah Belson. With Ari Millen playing the particularly creepy looking titular character, Ice Cream Man is likely to make you unable to look at an ice cream in the same way again. And we do so love our sweet treats.

What is the plot of Ice Cream Man?
You’ve heard of the highs of a sugar rush and the inevitable crashes parents have to deal with. But now they have something altogether far more alarming to contend with – and that’s an understatement. The treats served up by this particular Ice Cream Man sends the otherwise idyllic suburban town into a murderous rampage as the sweet treats he serves up turns the children into blue-lipped homicidal maniacs. And it’s billed as a slasher, so expect plenty of slapstick gore.

Snoop Dogg will be behind the Ice Cream Man soundtrack
When we think of horror, our mind doesn’t necessarily go to Snoop Dogg where the soundtrack is concerned. However, that’s the case for Ice Cream Man, with Snoop Dogg providing the music – and we’re certainly intrigued. Given the garish style of the cinematography and the styling of Ari Millen as the Ice Cream Man, though, it feels like it might just work.
Is Ice Cream Man a remake?
You might think Ice Cream Man is a remake of the 1995 film with Clint Howard and Olivia Hussey starring. However, Eli Roth’s Ice Cream Man is a completely original story written by Eli Roth and Noah Belson.
