Despicably big, you can book to watch Minions & Monsters in IMAX, 4DX, Superscreen, SCREENX, and 3D now

The minions have caught the movie-making bug, promising chaos. We haven’t seen those yellow guys since Despicable Me 4, when Gru became a dad and the minions gained powers as Mega Minions. It was a fun crowd-pleaser, and we enjoyed seeing the one-eyed dudes again.

So what’s Minions & Monsters about? In this somewhat prequel to the main Despicable Me story, Minions & Monsters takes us back to the 1920s, long before the events of Despicable Me 4. Here, we see the giggly gang during Hollywood’s golden age, when anyone who was anyone was in the film industry – including the minions, who want to make a movie of their own, about monsters. They get their yellow mitts on a magical book through which they can conjure creatures. Of course, that doesn’t go smoothly, and they unleash the monster of all monsters and mayhem (thankfully) ensues.

Minions go monster-sized in IMAX + IMAX 3D

We’re used to the mini pranksters being pint-sized, so get used to seeing them gigantic at an IMAX showing. Not to mention the monster, a blobby mountain with many, many eyeballs. Get ready to shrink back as it moves across the screen – and duck the flying bananas!

Feel the film as well as see it, in 4DX

When monsters stomp, each footfall rattles your seat and raises anticipation. During high-speed chases, you’ll feel every crash and bump, plus wind and water effects.

Watch the screen grow at SCREENX

The mountain of slime knows no bounds at ScreenX. Extra width is projected onto each side of the screen, making the monster even larger!

Get caught up in the chase on Superscreen

A high-speed chase through a monster-filled jungle shows detail on Superscreen, big enough to take it all in. The banana bunch transform into monster-like versions, even more enjoyable at this higher, bolder level.
