The special premiere event of The Ghost in the Shell will see the first two episodes of the new TV series screening at Cineworld. Based on the manga published between 1989 and 1991, The Ghost in the Shell is set in a not too distant future in which cybernetic enhancement is the norm. A timely adaptation, The Ghost in the Shell explores human consciousness and artificial intelligence, cybercrime, hacking, and state control, all through the character of Major Motoko Kusanagi, a cybernetic operative working in Public Security Section 9.
