Discover why the world went quiet in A Quiet Place: Day One. The movie is the origin story for John Krasinski's suspenseful and brilliant A Quiet Place series, and the first teaser poster will have your breath catching in your throat.
Oscar-winner Lupita Nyong'o is our new protagonist who bears witness to a terrifying extraterrestrial assault on New York that changes the face of our planet. Nyong'o is no stranger to horrific material, having led Jordan Peele's 2019 chiller Us with an electrifying dual performance.
The official synopsis is teasingly succinct and mysterious, simply reading: 'Experience the day the world went quiet.' In other words, discover what happened when sound-sensitive aliens landed on our planet and slaughtered anyone daft enough to make any noise louder than toenail clipping.
A Quiet Place: Day One is directed by Michael Sarnowski who elicited a career-best performance from Nicolas Cage in the moving 2021 drama Pig. John Krasinski takes a story-writing credit with Sarnoski, and the cast also includes Joseph Quinn, Alex Wolff and Djimon Hounsou, the last of whom appeared in 2021's A Quiet Place: Part Two.
Scroll down to watch the teaser trailer for A Quiet Place: Day One and prepare for another series of close encounters when the movie makes its debut this summer. It's released on June 28th.
