For fans of The Bear, unscripted cooking shows and everything in between, this week’s Cineworld Unlimited Secret Screening was an unmissable event, turning out to be an early look at the eagerly anticipated Anthony Bourdain biopic, Tony.
Directed by Matt Johnson, who is on a bit of a roll as of late following Blackberry and the absurdist comedy Nirvanna the Band the Show the Movie, Tony brings the story of the acclaimed chef to the big screen.
Anyone who has read Bourdain’s incredible works of literature or seen the shows like Parts Unknown that made him a worldwide star, you’ll know that there’s a ton of material for a biopic of the man who opened up the world of cooking like no-one else, but Tony does the smart thing of honing in on the start of Bourdain’s career, seeing him as a lost young man looking for his place in the world.
Tony is sure to be one of the most talked-about films of the year, not just for its subject matter but also its incredible cast which includes Dominic Sessa as the main man himself, alongside Emilia Jones, Leo Woodall and Antonio Banderas. While the general public can catch the film at Cineworld from August 14th onwards, our Cineworld Unlimited members were able to see the film ahead of time, and according to their reviews, Tony is a smash hit.

We absolutely adore The Holdovers, but if you missed that film whilst it was screening, he's another chance to see why leading man Dominic Sessa is the real deal.
