Secret Screening: What did viewers think of the new action-comedy Novocaine?

There was a tangible sense of excitement on Saturday (8th March), as we hosted the latest of our Cineworld Secret Screenings – the 15th in this special series. As usual, those who attended had no idea what movie was going to show after the lights went down, but the anticipation was palpable as the opening frames of new action-comedy Novocaine appeared on the big screen. Directed by Dan Berk and Robert Olsen, the film stars Jack Quaid as a mild-mannered bank employee who feels no pain. When his co-worker and love interest (Amber Midthunder) is taken hostage during a robbery, Quaid sets off on a mission to rescue her.

The movie doesn't go on general release until 28 March (tickets go on sale this week), meaning people who came to the Secret Screening got to see it nearly three weeks ahead of schedule. But what did they think of it? Here are some of the comments that were made on social media after the showing...

Secret Screenings are open to everyone – keep an eye out on the Cineworld website and X feed for details of the next one.
