The Theory of Everything stars Eddie Redmayne and Felicity Jones take to the skies in The Aeronauts. And we're pleased to say that Cineworld Unlimited members get to see the film in advance this November.
The movie is a mixture of fact and fiction, exploring the real-life exploits of 19th century meteorologist James Glaisher (Redmayne). In a bid to learn more about our climate, he takes to the skies with help from pilot Amelia Wren (Jones), whose gas-powered balloon takes them soaring into the heavens.
Their adventure takes them higher than anyone has ever gone before, with eye-widening vistas taking in the Earth's tropopause before suddenly being rent asunder by violent storms. Will they make it back alive?
The movie's pioneering spirit and majestic visual wonder means we're delighted to present the movie in both IMAX and standard widescreen presentations. Note that there is no additional uplift (no pun intended) for the IMAX screening.
As you're no doubt aware, this is our first Cineworld Unlimited IMAX screening for quite some time, and an experience you don't want to miss. The Aeronauts was shot by director Tom Harper (Wild Rose) in IMAX, and is therefore a movie that tests the possibilities of the format. Watch in awe as Glaisher and Wren see the world from above, the IMAX aspect ratio (26% larger than a standard screening) and immersive sound design pulling audiences into their journey.
