2. Monkey Man (screening March 30th)
Dev Patel directs, writes, produces and stars in this savage take on the legend of Hanuman, the Hindu monkey deity. Produced by Oscar-winning Get Out filmmaker Jordan Peele, Monkey Man is the bloody and thrilling story of Kid, a Mumbai orphan and underground boxer who vows to take revenge on the corrupt individuals who brutally killed his mother.
3. The Book of Clarence (screening April 2nd)
Writer-director Jeymes Samuel has already revised the Western in his stylish movie The Harder They Fall. He now puts a wry and witty alternative spin on The New Testament in this offbeat religious comedy. The excellent LaKeith Stanfield stars as Clarence, a man who aims to capitalise on the rise of Jesus Christ to propagate his own success as a would-be messiah.
However, things don't exactly turn out that way. Flanking Stanfield is an outstanding cast including RJ Cyler, David Oyelowo, James McAvoy and Benedict Cumberbatch.

4. Ordinary Angels (screening April 8th)
Based on a remarkable true story, Ordinary Angels centers on Sharon Steves (two-time Oscar-winner Hilary Swank), a fierce but struggling hairdresser in small-town Kentucky who discovers a renewed sense of purpose when she meets Ed Schmitt (Reacher star Alan Ritchson), a widower working hard to make ends meet for his two daughters. With his youngest daughter waiting for a liver transplant, Sharon sets her mind to helping the family and will move mountains to do it. What unfolds is the inspiring tale of faith, everyday miracles, and ordinary angels.
