What is Sense and Sensibility about?
Meet the Dashwood family, comprising the three sisters, Elinor, Marianne and Margaret, and their widowed mother. After their father dies, they are forced to downsize to a much smaller house, and they lose their social standing. On a more precarious footing, the daughters together weather spiteful, untrustworthy relatives and the highs and lows of first loves.

It’s exciting to think of the new perspective and reading of Austen’s time-honoured story that Oakley will bring, and how she will translate it for new audiences – making the historical feel relatable.
