28 Years Later – A new trailer for Danny Boyle's upcoming horror movie has landed and it looks awesome

One of the movies we've been really excited about seeing this summer is 28 Years Later (at Cineworld from June 20th). The third release in the post-apocalyptic horror franchise after 28 Days Later (2002) and 28 Weeks Later (2007), the film reunites director Danny Boyle and writer Alex Garland – the team behind the original movie, now considered a classic of the genre.

Ramping up our anticipation levels even further is the fact that a new trailer for the movie has just landed. As the title of the film suggests, this instalment is set 28 years after the Rage virus first escaped from the research laboratory, and follows a group of survivors (led by Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Jodie Comer) living on a heavily defended island off the Northumberland coast. While the new clip doesn't give much away, it's very clear from watching it that the group come under severe attack from the infected population. As well as intense gunfighting and flashes of gore, there appears to be a scene where a church is besieged by the mutant marauders.
