A powerhouse trio of A-list stars drives topical new drama Bombshell, which screened in advance last night for Cineworld Unlimited members.
Margot Robbie, Charlize Theron and Nicole Kidman play the three women who seek to expose abusive Fox News CEO Roger Ailes (John Lithgow) in this dramatisation of a shocking true story.
The film has been acclaimed as an empowering and thought-provoking account of finding one's voice amidst a misogynistic male-dominated environment. So what did Unlimited members make of it?
Claire Allan says that the movie has a relevant and profound message in today's climate.
Thought it was amazing and extremely well done and amazing cast and it's one of the films I think we need to see in this day and age as there were so many rumours about what happened and I think this film goes about it on a way that kept the audience entranced #CineworldUnlimited

Simon Winstanley praises the film but says potential viewers ought to be braced.
Absolutely brilliant film, really made you feel the internal struggle that varied parties went through, plus it featured one of the most unfomfortable to watch scenes I’ve ever seen in a film.

Mal Jutley singles out the performances for praise.
Such a top film and a riveting watch. Despite knowing the story I was impressed at how it was told. Important viewing and an important view on the state of Fox and American politics. Have to say Charlize Theron and Nicole Kidman were brilliant in it. #UnlimitedScreening

Pureforms says Theron's performance as real-life Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly is worth highlighting.
This is a strikingly good film that handles the source material with the gravitas it deserves @CharlizeAfrica is simply amazing in a transformative portrayal of Megan Kelly but all the performances are exactly what you would expect from a quality film. @bombshellmovie

Emma @ The Movies singles out Lithgow's brave performance as Ailes.
I thoroughly enjoyed it, there wasn’t a single moment where I wasn’t engaged with what was going on. The whole cast worked so well together but Robbie and Lithgow were the two outstanding performances for me. Just wow.

And Natalie describes the film as essential viewing, not to mention a cautionary tale for modern times.
It's so damn good. And important!!! Just horrifying that this stuff happened and continues to happen. Superbly acted and story told.
