An extended trailer has landed for Avengers: Age of Ultron and whilst on the surface it may not appear to offer much that's new, dig deeper and you'll discover some cool little nuggets.
Ultron's opening reveal for example is expanded slightly, with more dialogue from voice actor James Spader: "There's only one path to peace... Your extinction." Cue an invasion of what seem to be Iron Man prototype suits, which appears to tie into the movie's central idea of Tony Stark's (Robert Downey Jr.) technology turning against humanity.
There are also additional, albeit brief, glimpses of the Hulkbuster armour seen in the previous trailer, Stark's new suit that goes head-to-head with Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), plus more shots of Iron Man zooming around a snowy landscape in what's presumably one of the film's key setpieces.
The presence of Andy Serkis, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and Elizabeth Olsen (the latter two as Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch) remains enigmatic at this stage, and there are few hints as to how the narrative will reportedly tie into Marvel's hugely popular Civil War storyline, which pits Iron Man against Captain America (Chris Evans).
Still, it all looks jolly exciting and action-packed. Avengers: Age of Ultron is released on 24th April 2015.
