Unlimited member Amanda Fensome answers our questions in our 'Sweet or Salted?' interview

Unlimited member Amanda Ransome was the winner of our recent The Hobbit competition, and was lucky enough to walk down the red carpet at the film's London premiere.

So we thought we'd quiz her on all things movie-related. Will it be sweet or salted popcorn for Amanda? Read the interview to find out!

Which Cineworld cinema do you go to most often?

Luton.

How long have you been an Unlimited member?

This time round just over a year but I was a member for a year whilst at uni.

What was the first film you ever saw in the cinema?

I haven’t got a clue. Probably a random Disney film or something.

What films are you looking forward to the most in the next year?

Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which from the teaser trailer looks like it might be more like the original trilogy. I just hope they do it well because I didn’t enjoy episodes 1 to 3 that much.

Avengers: Age of Ultron looks good too. I haven’t seen Mockingjay – Part 1 yet but I think Part 2 next year will probably make a better film because most of the action is in the second half of the book. Kingsman: The Secret Service looks pretty good so that’s something for me to look forward to near the beginning of the year.

Sweet or salty?

Sweet. Always.

What films are your guilty pleasures?

Monty Python’s Life of Brian, it’s a real Marmite kind of film. Dirty Dancing, a real girly girl film that doesn’t fit the rest of my collection. The Paranormal Activity series (and other similar horrors). They are never going to be classics but I can’t help but enjoy them when I’m in the mood for a little bit of a scare.

Which film would you like to be a character in?

Lord of the Rings or The Hobbit. I just really like Middle-earth I think it would be a great place to live. Or maybe Harry Potter, except without Voldemort because I don’t think I’d be good at war.

Which film have you seen the most times?

I’m not sure. It’s probably Lethal Weapon or one of the original Star Trek movies.

What is your all-time favourite film?

There are so many awesome films it’s hard to choose. Today I’m going to with The Hobbit: The Battle of Five Armies because it was really really good and tied everything up nicely. But ask me another day and I’ll probably pick something else.

Which movie star would you like to share a pick and mix with?

Benedict Cumberbatch. I was so hoping I’d manage to bump into him at the premiere, but never mind – just being there was awesome.

Bond or Bourne?

I don’t particularly like either of them.

Alien or Aliens?

Not that fussed about these either.

Best Batman?

I liked the new ones but I don’t really have a preference on who plays him.

Favourite film quote?

"Just what Jesus said sir!" from Monty Python’s Life of Brian closely followed by "He’s not the Messiah, he’s a very naughty boy!"

Trailers – rate or hate?

Rate. I think they are a great way of helping decide which upcoming films I want to see first. There just aren’t enough hours to see everything.

What are your favourite remakes?

I can’t even think of something I’ve seen that I know is a remake, Usually I don’t even realise a film is a remake until someone points it out to me.

Oscar nominee or summer blockbuster?

Either. I don’t really pay attention to hype. Trailers or something in the film description usually draw me to a film.

What film would you like to see brought back to the cinema?

The Judge. I know it’s still showing in some cinemas but I missed it at my local ones.

What do you like most about being an Unlimited Customer?

The chance to enter awesome competitions and maybe win awesome prizes. The discount on food and drink, and special shows like Monty Pythons ‘One Down Five to Go’. Being able to go randomly to the cinema and not have to worry about having the money to get in. Maybe I should just go with all of it?
