They're coming in too fast! Disney Investor Day unleashed a glut of new Star Wars projects. And one of the most exciting is Rogue Squadron, to be helmed by Wonder Woman 1984 director Patty Jenkins.
She will become the first woman filmmaker to tackle a Star Wars project. And Jenkins teased us with the awesome blindside in the following video.

The Disney-Lucasfilm project is very much under wraps, but will focus on a clutch of X-Wing rebel fighter pilots. Rogue Squadron was originally a Microsoft Windows and Nintendo 64 arcade game released in 1998 via LucasArts, allowing the player to control Luke Skywalker.
Whether the movie will stay true to the origins of the game is unclear. (Maybe a Mark Hamill cameo?) Either way, the movie is pencilled in for a Christmas Day 2023 release, with Taika Waititi's Star Wars movie also in the pipeline.
Excited? Let us know @Cineworld.
