Is the upcoming Morbius starring Jared Leto connected to the Spider-Man movies? You can find out in a newly released featurette that explores the movie's comic book connections.
Morbius is part of the Sony Spider-Man Universe and connects to the two Venom movies starring Tom Hardy. However, Morbius' direct link with the Marvel and Disney-affiliated Spider-Man movies remains somewhat nebulous. In the early trailers, we saw Leto's afflicted scientist Michael Morbius walking past some graffiti that outs Tom Holland's Spider-Man as a murderer. But given how that storyline has evidently been resolved in Spider-Man: No Way Home, which was initially set to be released after Morbius, we've got to wonder if the graffiti scene and others like it will remain.
Michael Keaton's Spider-Man: Homecoming villain Adrian Toomes/Vulture is a presence in the movie. We know that from the recent trailer. But questions remain about Leto's scientist turned vampiric hero and the impact he may have on the associated Sony/Disney/Marvel franchises. Check out the clip below and make up your own mind.
