It's time to keep an eye on balloons and overflowing storm-drains, because cinema's most terrifying clown, Pennywise, returns in IT CHAPTER TWO. And you can now book your tickets for the film's opening weekend from Friday 6th September to Sunday 8th September.
The movie follows on from the first blockbusting instalment of Stephen King's terrifying tome. Director Andy Muschietti and screenwriter Gary Dauberman now advance the mythology 27 years, as the older Losers Club members reunite in Derry, Maine for one final battle with their dreaded nemesis.
Reprising the role of Pennywise with more than a note of malicious glee is Bill Skarsgard, whose brilliantly skin-crawling performance was a highlight of the first movie.
This time, the demonic entity is actively seeking revenge against the group who defeated him when they were children, paving the way for another story of repressed guilt and inner (and outer) demons.
Bringing star power are the likes of James McAvoy, Jessica Chastain and Bill Hader as the older Losers, whose childhood returns to haunt them in a big way.
It remains to be seen how much the film will delve into Pennywise's origins (this was teased but only barely in the first instalment), although it's been confirmed that several of the book's most shocking sequences will be included. This includes the savage death of young gay man Adrian Mellon, portrayed by Xavier Dolan, whose murder hastens the Losers' arrival back in Derry.

And if you brave souls simply can't get enough of Pennywise, you can book your tickets for the IT and IT CHAPTER TWO double-bill, which gets underway on Thursday 5th September at 7pm.
