The wizarding world is under threat in the new trailer for Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore. Fortunately, there's a contingent of heroes on hand, led by Eddie Redmayne's Newt Scamander and his ever-loyal friend Picket. J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter spin-off now imports regular Harry Potter screenwriter Steve Kloves for another dazzling-looking adventure.
The trailer offers us the first glimpse of Mads Mikkelsen's Grindewald – the actor is a replacement for Johnny Depp who played the character in the first two Fantastic Beasts movies. Jude Law's young Dumbledore also features and there are plenty of covert references to the world of Harry Potter, from Quidditch to Hufflepuff.
Newt is joined by his brother Theseus (Callum Turner), as well as Victoria Yeates as Bunty, William Nadylam as Yusuf Kama, Jessica Williams as Professor Eulalie “Lally” Hicks, and Dan Fogler as Jacob Kowalski. Alison Sudol's Queenie Goldstein and Ezra Miller’s Credence Barebone also return.
Check out the trailer below and keep your eyes peeled for our full trailer breakdown coming soon. Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore is released on 8th April 2022.
