Last year, we hosted a series of magical Disney Princess screenings that cast a spell with Cineworlders. And we're delighted to announce a brand new series of screenings in 2019.
These special screenings are introduced as part of our Movies for Juniors series. Intended specifically for adults/carers and children, tickets are just £2.50, so if you're waiting to introduce Disney into somebody's life for the first time, we've got the answer.
Beauty and the Beast (Friday 8th March)
One of the jewels in Disney's early 1990s renaissance period, this emotional fairy tale is a romance unlike any other. When bookish Belle is held captive in a castle by a monstrous beast (actually an arrogant prince under a curse), a tender romance develops. Beauty and the Beast is one of Disney's most beautifully affecting stories, replete with classic tunes including 'Be Our Guest'.

Sleeping Beauty
Our Movies for Juniors screening of Disney's 1959 classic. This vibrantly animated take on the enduring Charles Perrault fairytale unleashed one of the studio's most memorable villains upon the world: cackling sorceress Maleficent (later given the live-action treatment by Angelina Jolie in the 2014 movie of the same name).
Mulan
Disney's sweeping 1998 animation Mulan is based on the famous Chinese story about a young girl who disguises herself as a warrior to go to war against the Huns. With its arresting Far Eastern landscapes, comic relief from Eddie Murphy as dragon Mushu and thunderous, Oscar-nominated score from Jerry Goldsmith, it's a pioneering princess movie.
Stay tuned to the blog over the coming weeks and months for more Disney Princess screenings. Don't forget to tweet us your favourites @Cineworld.
