The Ryan Reynolds/Hugh Jackman relationship has officially evolved from meme-worthy gold into big-screen magic. Forget their initial collaboration in the misfiring X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009). The bantering frenemies are about to rip the place up in Deadpool 3, the first Deadpool movie to officially fall under the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) banner.
A newly released image has teased the partnership between Reynolds' snarky Merc and Jackman's resurgent Logan/Wolverine. (We're awaiting the explanation as to how he's alive again.) Mr. Pool may not have changed much, at least outwardly. But Wolverine's classic yellow comic book get-up is bound to induce squeals of joy from fans the world over.
Deadpool 3 will be directed by Reynolds' Free Guy collaborator Shawn Levy and reportedly sees the return of Jennifer Garner as Elektra. Rob Simonsen is composing the score, having collaborated with Levy on The Adam Project and the movie is overseen by MCU chief Kevin Feige.
Deadpool 3 is due for release on May 3rd, 2024.
